Polka dot

History of clothes shown above started in 1975. I went from work to home near drapery one fine day. It was the famous (and one) place for creative designers in USSR: there was huge range of different fabrics and you can bay small pieces of them !!! I saw 6 meters of polka dot material. By the way, my family and I planned a vacation trip to the Black Sea at that time...and I was looking forward good-looking swimsuit. Yes, I was looking forward, because there were no such swimsuits at all! All swimsuits that I saw were simple black/gray one-fashion-like swimsuits. So, I bought fabric and created new exclusive hat, blouse, swimsuit, skirt and big shawl in two days. I used only my moms' sewing machine ZINGER... I was like a star at the Black Sea a few weeks later. No one believed that I had created all mentioned set myself and asked me: “Where did you buy it and where is this swimsuit made?” My reply was simple: “Made in Japan. No more comments.”. People gossiped in background: ”Wow! How it possible to buy any fabric made in Japan in USSR? Who is this women?”... It was really fun time. Nowadays the USSR is collapsed, I am not 27.. but, the history is repeated: I went to home near new “World tissues” store... polka dot material... memory... and, as result, a new hat.
